Mini-Pleated HVAC Filters — 2" & 4" Overview

Extended-surface mini-pleated filters designed for commercial and industrial HVAC systems. This page groups the options by frame/seal design and depth, with a quick compare and spec snapshots to help selection.

Quick Compare

Family Depths Typical Efficiency Representative Initial ΔP (500 fpm) Frame / Seal Highlights Notes
Permanent-Gasket Mini-Pleat 2" MERV 15/14A ~0.35" w.g. (24×24 at ~2000 cfm) Built-in permanent gasket with mechanical seal to minimize bypass Energy-savings vs. non-gasketed alternatives illustrated in datasheet.
Plastic-Frame Mini-Pleat 4" MERV 15 ~0.24" w.g. (24×24 at 2000 cfm) All-plastic frame; available with or without header/gasket Rated up to ~160 °F; fully incinerable.
Die-Cut Frame Mini-Pleat 2" and 4" MERV 15/14A 2": ~0.30" · 4": ~0.21" (at 500 fpm) Self-supported pleat pack with rigid separators; 2" version non-gasketed Headered and non-headered options in 4" depth.

2" Mini-Pleat — Permanent Gasket (Zero-Bypass)

2" mini-pleated filter with an integrated, permanent gasket and mechanical seal that helps create a positive seal in the housing to minimize bypass. Synthetic media, MERV 15/14A performance, low resistance, and fully incinerable construction. Tested per ASHRAE 52.2 (with Appendix J) and UL 900.

4" Mini-Pleat — Plastic Frame

4" mini-pleated filter using a geometrically formed pleat pack with rigid mechanical separators in an all-plastic frame. Available in MERV 15 with header/no-header and optional gasketing. Typical initial ΔP at 500 fpm is ~0.24" w.g. (24×24), with ratings up to ~160 °F. Fully incinerable; tested to ASHRAE 52.2 and UL 900.

2" & 4" Mini-Pleat — Die-Cut Frame

Self-supported mini-pleat pack with rigid separators, sealed into a die-cut frame. Available in MERV 15/14A. At 500 fpm, typical initial ΔP is ~0.30" w.g. for 2" depth and ~0.21" w.g. for 4" depth (24×24). 2" version is non-gasketed; 4" version offered with or without header and with optional gaskets. Tested to ASHRAE 52.2; UL 900.

Notes & Guidance

  • Final Resistance: Size systems to the recommended final resistance in each datasheet (common target ~1.0" w.g. unless otherwise stated).
  • Face Velocity: Tables above list low/medium/high airflow points; verify selection at the intended face velocity.
  • Sealing: Permanent gasket designs reduce bypass risk and can improve lifecycle efficiency compared with non-gasketed frames.
  • Options: Many sizes are available with headers and/or gaskets (especially in 4" depths); confirm availability per size.
